Astana has bounced straight back from Lance Armstrongs crash yesterday at the Vuelta a Castilla y León by taking first and second in the stage and the overall classification in the Stage 2 28km Time Trial. Levi Leipheimer showed that he is quite possibly the best in the world in the Time Trial currently by taking this win. He also won the TT and the overall GC at the Tour of California this year. Second place getter Alberto Contador took 2 stages already this year including the TT at Paris Nice. Contador also won the TT and the overall at the Volta ao Algarve in February.

Zipp riders Dave Zabriskie and Christian Vande Velde also did great rides to be 3rd and 10th in the stage. The race finishes on March 27 in Valladolid.
