Lance bike side view

SRAM had the chance to get some pics of Lance Armstrong’s SRAM Red equipped Livestrong Trek Madone at the Astana training camp in Tenerife this week. Although the lighting wasnt ideal you can see how cool this bike is. There are a few very special touches to the bike and a few changes to Lances previous setup. The SRAM Red group on the bike includes a prototype SRAM wireless SRM Powermeter Pro with a new SRM PC VI system and a 34,9mm clamp Red front derailleur. Interesting is that Lance is using the reach adjustment on the Red shifter by having it slightly closer to the bar than its usual position next to the brake lever. Pretty much everything else on the bike - carbon bars, stemand bottle cages come from Bontrager along with wheels, and seat and bar tape. Lances custom painted Madone has 53×39 chainrings, 175mm cranks and an 11-25 Red Powerdome cassette with 11,12,13,14,15,17,19,21,23,25 teeth. The frame has a Mellow Johnny’s badge on the main tube from Lance’s bike shop in Austin Texas and a super cool stem top cap engraved with Mellow Johnny’s again and the Lone Star.
