Alberto Contador (Astana), Andy Schleck (Saxo Bank), and Lance Armstrong (Astana) will finish today’s 96th Tour de France in Paris in the first three podium positions. One is a legend, one is on his way to becoming a legend, and one is developing legebdary tendencies, but what they have in common is the World’s lightest, most ergonomic, and most efficient gruppo in the World – SRAM RED.

Four years ago SRAM optimistically launched new bike products into the duopolistic and conservative world of road with the introduction of two complete component groups (brakes, cranks, shift levers, derailleurs, brakes, chain and cassette). SRAM Force and SRAM Rival sold extremely well and made a strong impression with riders, bike suppliers, and editors globally. SRAM’s evolution continued and SRAM’s professional level RED group was launched in late 2007 to global praise. SRAM RED remains the world’s lightest, most efficient, and most ergonomic road gruppo, and has proven its durability in the world’s most challenging bike races.

This years Tour de France, and the athletes that have chosen to race it, have affirmed the advantages of RED.

Four teams started the Tour de France equipped with SRAM RED, including the World’s highest ranked Team Saxo Bank, as well as Team Astana, the German team Milram, and the French Agritubel squad.
