Agritubel’s French champion Nicolas Vogondy is giving SRAM RED some more French panache at the 2008. He punched his ticket to the Tour two weeks ago by winning his second national championship - a French team isn’t going to leave the French champion at home during the Tour De France!

Wednesday was the longest stage of the Tour, 232km from Cholet to Châteauroux, and Nicolas had a nice ride away for 210km with a couple other French riders. Nicolas got to show off his new French champ jersey - and his Kuota bike with SRAM Red, of course.

Nicolas’ last ditch attack in the final kilometer wasn’t enough to hold off the sprinters but it was enough pin on the RED number on his jersey today as yesterday’s most aggressive rider. Between that and Romain Feillu’s yellow jersey, it’s been a great Tour for Agritubel so far.
