We caught up with “Styby” at the Fidea team presentation and this is what he had to say. Second at the World Championship already this year Styby is going to form a killer partnership with team leader Bart Wellens this season. Both these guys are ready to turn it on after a great pre-season and solid warm up races over the past few weeks. Super Prestige Race 1 is in Ruddervoorde this weekend!

The Worlds number 1 Cyclo Cross Team Fidea has made their team presentation for the 2008/2009 season and SRAM was lucky enough to be there. This team is really the ultimate in Cross with multiple World Champions Bart Wellens, Erwin Vervecken and Zdenek Stybar just to name a few.

SRAM’s secret weapon in the Womens Road Race at the World Champs in Varese was ex World Triathlon Champion Nikki Egyed from Australia. On the attack from the start and driving the 12 rider break that shaped the race, Nikki had a great ride on her new SRAM and Zipp equipped Scott Addict. CrossVegas was race #1 of the Lance comeback, and we were able to get this LIVE mobile video of the 7-time Tour winner getting some help with his race numbers from Trek’s team liaison Ben Coates. It’s not the most exciting footage ever, but that whole night was a really fun moment to be part of and we are very proud to have Lance on board and as part of the SRAM family.

The day before the Vuelta a España wrapped up in Madrid, the Vuelta Mexico finished in Mexico City with Team Type 1’s Glen Chadwick winning the overall title. Team Type 1 is a great program that SRAM is proud to support; the team includes a mix of pro and amateur riders with Type 1 diabetes racing alongside non-diabetic riders to raise awareness of proper diabetes management.
